Serdang, 13 December 2023 - In accordance with the requirements of AM Treasury Circular 6 which is Government Store Management Procedures, Responsibility Centers (PTJ) that have a Central Store or Main Store for office supplies and stationery must carry out a store inspection once a year starting from October and ending on 31 December of the current year.
The store inspection at the Internal Audit Division was carried out on 12 December 2023 involving two Stock Inspection Officers who were appointed together with the PTJ Store Officer. A physical check of the overall stock is done by checking the balance on the Stock Control Card with the physical balance in the store.
The purpose of this inspection is to detect and identify weaknesses that cause excess, reduced, damaged, obsolete, expired stock as well as determine the exact amount of physical stock with the balance on the Stock Control Card so that follow-up action can be taken.
