SERDANG 29 February 2024 - The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) has launched Global Internal Audit Standards (Standards) which will come into effect on 9 January 2025. These new standards will replace the International Professional Practice Framework (IPPF) issued in 2017.
In connection with the launch of the new standards, UPM's Internal Audit Division held the Unfolding 2024 Global Internal Audit Standards seminar on 29 February 2024 at the Putra Smart Classroom Seminar Room of the Faculty of Education.
This seminar was implemented in a hybrid manner and was attended by participants from 24 agencies consisting of Public Universities, Private Universities and Local Authorities.
This seminar was delivered by Mrs. Nur Hayati Baharuddin, Quality Assurance Consultant. Mrs. Nurhayati holds an MBA from the USA, is a Certified Internal Auditor and has various professional qualifications. He has extensive experience in the implementation of external assessments involving various industries and has over 20 years of experience in risk management and audit.
Apart from that, Ms. Zainora Abdul Talib, Head of Internal Audit at UPM and Mr. Mohd Azis Abdullah, Head of the ICT and Generation Audit Section also shared their experience of implementing the Self Assessment with Independent Validation (SAIV) program and the use of e-SAIV at UPM.
