SERDANG 5 JAN 2024  - The big challenge that needs to be addressed in conducting auditing is ethics and integrity in an organization. Integrity in work is proven to be able to motivate an employee to be able to complete tasks in an orderly manner and according to work details and set time.

The Internal Audit Division has implemented the annual declaration of audit staff in Universiti Putra Malaysia to ensure that each staff member understands the guidelines and ethics regarding conflict of interest management procedures in carrying out official duties and affairs. This declaration is called the "Annual Declaration of UPM Internal Audit Employees" which is read and signed in front of Head of Internal Audit.

This declaration is a commitment that needs to be renewed every year. This commitment involves work ethics, moral values, compliance with International Standards For The Professional Practice Of Internal Auditing (IPPF), policies and procedures and also notification of conflicts of interest.

With the implementation of this undertaking, the audit staff in UPM is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the information and tasks carried out.
