SERDANG, 19 June – Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) has once again demonstrated the quality of Malaysia’s higher education on the international stage by maintaining its position among the world’s top 150 universities, ranking 138th globally in the QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2027.

This achievement was attained in an increasingly competitive global ranking landscape that assessed more than 8,808 higher education institutions worldwide. The accomplishment reflects UPM’s continuous commitment to strengthening academic excellence and enhancing its global visibility, in line with the nation’s internationalization aspirations.

The Vice-Chancellor of UPM, Dato' Profesor Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah emphasized that this success is the result of the university’s sustainable development agenda, guided by its strategic compass, True North. This strategic framework has served as a key driver in reinforcing UPM’s standing as a globally reputable university founded on values, integrity, and a strong commitment to society, while delivering meaningful impact to communities, the nation, and the world.
