UPM Serdang, 25 May 2026 – The Internal Audit Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) organised an IT Audit Knowledge Sharing Session for all its staff as part of its continuous efforts to strengthen knowledge, enhance competencies, and standardise IT audit practices across the division.
Throughout the session, participants were introduced to various key aspects of IT auditing, including IT governance, cybersecurity controls, policy compliance, university application systems, and risk-based audit approaches. The session was further enriched with case discussions and practical simulations, enabling staff to gain a more comprehensive understanding of IT audit methodologies while enhancing their practical auditing skills.
The knowledge sharing session served as an effective platform to foster a culture of continuous learning, encourage the exchange of professional experiences, and enhance staff readiness in addressing increasingly complex IT audit responsibilities in line with technological advancements and the university’s digital transformation initiatives.
Through this initiative, the UPM Internal Audit Division remains committed to strengthening the professional competencies of its staff while ensuring that its audit function continues to be relevant, high-quality, and capable of supporting efficient, transparent, and accountable university governance.
