June 19, 2025, Serdang – The Internal Audit Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) received a strategic visit from the delegation of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Kedah (PKNK) in an engagement session. The visit aimed to strengthen internal auditing strategies through digitalisation efforts and the sharing of best practices in the increasingly complex and challenging public sector audit environment.
The seven-member delegation, led by Puan Salina Md. Saleh, Chief Internal Auditor of PKNK, was welcomed by UPM’s Chief Internal Auditor, Mr. Sharul Azman Ramli, together with Section Heads of the Internal Audit Division. A brief presentation on the organisational structure, functions, and digitalisation approach currently implemented at UPM was shared, including the development of a Google-based Audit Dashboard that enables real-time monitoring of audit issues.
The bilateral discussion session created an avenue for constructive exchanges of ideas on the application of digital technology to enhance audit task efficiency, mechanisms for issue follow-up monitoring, and the production of more strategic and responsive reporting.

The visit also added value through early discussions on the potential for long-term collaboration between both institutions, particularly in building digital audit capabilities — from planning to post-audit monitoring.

UPM’s Internal Audit Division highly appreciates this strategic visit and hopes that the established partnership will continue and be strengthened to empower a more holistic, transparent, and effective audit management system.
