UPM SERDANG, 15 August 2023 – In line with the Independence month celebration, the Internal Audit Division was involved with the celebration independence month in 2023. University Putra Malaysia (UPM) has re-organised the Semarak Merdeka Programme 2023 throughout August.

It is in conjunction with the Independence Day 2023 celebration themed "Malaysia Madani: TEKAD PERPADUAN PENUHI HARAPAN"

The Semarak Merdeka programme 2023 UPM was announced in June 2023 and the highlight of the celebration schedule in August 2023.

In conjunction with Semarak Merdeka Programme 2023, The Internal Audit Division involved through involvement in the Inter-PTJ Independent Poetry Declamation Competition, Inter-PTJ Independent Path Kibar competition and also the Inter-PTJ Independent Photography competition.

The highlight of the evaluation of the Jalur Gemilang Kibar competition was held at the Internal Audit Division on 15 August 2023 in the afternoon session starting at 2.15 pm. The session began with the welcoming pantun from the Head of Internal Audit to the UPM Assessment Jury Delegation. The programme continued with multimedia sessions, exhibitions, rhyme poetry declaration sessions, launch gimmicks and a visit to the Internal Audit Laman Merdeka .The highlight or the main event of the Jalur Gemilang competition of Internal Audit department ended with a bird release session marking symbolic of the spirit of independence.
