UPM SERDANG 3 September 2024 – The Internal Audit Unit Pusat Pungutan Zakat Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah (MAIWP) were conducted a benchmarking visit to the Internal Audit Division of UPM. The delegation consisted of 6 employees from the PPZ audit unit, led by Ms. Norfadzlina binti Mohamed.
The discussion started at 10:00 AM in the Internal Audit Division Meeting Room with a sharing session on the audit process conducted by the UPM Internal Audit Division. Mrs. Zainora Abdul Talib, the Head of Internal Audit at UPM, provided an initial introduction to Universiti Putra Malaysia followed by a discussion on the methods, systems, and monitoring of audits, starting from the planning stage.

The Head of Internal Audit at UPM also explained the importance of risk assessment in every audit process, detailing the methodology for rating the risk of audit issues. All internal audit work and execution at UPM are aligned with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

The UPM Internal Audit Division would like to express its sincere gratitude for the presence of the PPZ delegation and hopes that the information shared will be mutually beneficial. This benchmarking discussion concluded at 12:00 noon with a group photo session and a light refreshment.
