PUTRAJAYA, 26 Jun 2023 - Internal audit is an independent function, which provides assurance and objective consulting services to add value and improve the operational level of the organization.

The objective of the Internal Audit Unit is to help an organization achieve its goals through a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and determine the effectiveness of all control and governance processes.

UPM's Internal Audit Division conducted a visit to the Internal Audit Management Division, Accountant General's Department of Malaysia and was led by Mr. Sharul Azman Ramli as the representative of UPM's Head of Internal Audit.

The visit involving 12 UPM delegations was welcomed by the Director of the Internal Audit Management Division (JANM) Noorlida binti Mohd Khalid.

The purpose of this visit is to exchange views and share about the auditing process on the audits that are currently or have been carried out in the respective departments and also risk management. In addition, this work visit also discussed the implementation method of EKSA (Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem) at the JANM. The delegation was also given information and sharing about the main functions of Internal Audit management at JANM, Audit tools and also the development of an integrated system in implementing self-assessment, auditing, supervision, feedback and reporting.
