SERDANG, 25 May 2021: Work from home (WFH) does not stop the Internal Audit Division, UPM from continuing its monthly routine of sharing session among all its staff members. It is a process of continuous professional development among UPM auditors and is set as one of the criteria in human resource development to measure the competency of an internal auditor.
A one hour sharing session by Mr. Sharul Azman, relating to 'Contract Administration' was held online through the Google Meet application on 25 May 2021.
He started the presentation by explaining the types of procurement that require the formation of an agreement between two parties through a contract, namely Procurement by Purchase, Procurement by Quotation, Procurement by Tender and Procurement by Direct Negotiation. Through the presentation, he stressed that a contract is formed when it meets the following elements:
a) Offer
b) Acceptance
c) Consideration
d) Intention
e) Provisions
f) Capability
It is hoped that this knowledge sharing will benefit the auditors in performing their duties and providing consulting services that are "value added" to the organisation.
