INTERNAL AUDIT TEAM STRENGTHENING PROGRAM ENHANCES RELATIONSHIPS, COMMUNICATION AND EMPLOYEE WELL-BEING

10 December 2025, Puchong – The Internal Audit Division conducted the Internal Audit Team Strengthening Program at the Sultan Idris Shah Forest Education Center (Sisfec). The program was facilitated by experienced counsellors, Ms. Rafidah binti Sadarudin and Ms. Norezzati binti Md Hanafiah, with full participation from staff of the Internal Audit Division.

 

The program was organised as an initiative to strengthen internal relationships, enhance mutual understanding among employees, and foster a more positive and harmonious working environment. In today’s dynamic and increasingly challenging workplace, mental well-being, effective communication, and a strong sense of belonging are essential to sustaining a healthy organisational culture. Accordingly, the program emphasised character development, emotional management, mutual understanding among colleagues, and the enhancement of internal motivation.

 

Throughout the program, participants engaged in a variety of interactive activities, including communication exercises, group discussions, personality awareness activities, mind-strategy games, and sharing sessions facilitated professionally by the counsellors. These activities were designed to help participants better understand behavioural diversity and individual characteristics, thereby reducing misunderstandings and enhancing tolerance in daily workplace interactions.

The program’s relaxed yet structured approach enabled participants to interact in an informal setting, creating opportunities to build stronger interpersonal relationships and fostering confidence in open communication. Participants were also given opportunities to reflect on their personal strengths and apply values of empathy in their relationships with colleagues.

The program also served as a platform to renew employees’ commitment to cultivating a conducive working environment. With closer relationships and clearer communication, the Internal Audit Division believes that its workforce is now better prepared to collaborate harmoniously and effectively in any situation.

 

Overall, the Internal Audit Team Strengthening Program successfully achieved its key objectives of nurturing team spirit, enhancing emotional well-being, strengthening communication, and fostering mutual understanding among employees. Programs of this nature not only contribute to the development of strong teams but also reinforce a positive and inclusive organisational culture.
