Seri Kembangan, 4 May 2025 – Happy International Firefighters’ Day! In conjunction with the celebration, the Internal Audit Division of UPM conducted a strategic visit to the Fire and Rescue Station of Malaysia (Seri Kembangan) on 30 April 2025.

The delegation of 10 participants was led by Mr. Mohd Faiz Suparman, representing the Chief Internal Auditor of UPM, and was also joined by the OSH Coordinator of the Internal Audit Division, Mr. Mohd Syairol Azwan Shabudin.

Throughout the visit, participants received a comprehensive briefing on the functions and roles of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, including incidents related to fire emergencies and building evacuation procedures during crises.

A fire extinguishing demonstration was also conducted, providing hands-on experience for all attendees in handling emergency situations.

The Internal Audit Division extends its highest appreciation and gratitude to the Seri Kembangan Fire Station for their warm hospitality, cooperation, and valuable knowledge sharing during the visit.

The programme concluded with the presentation of a souvenir as a token of appreciation and ended around 1:00 PM.
