Kuala Terengganu, 15 July 2025 – Two officers from the Internal Audit Division of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Mr. Mohd Azis Abdullah and Mr. Mohd Faiz Suparman, were invited as facilitators for the Audit Command Language (ACL) Workshop organized by Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) on 15 July 2025.
This one-day workshop aimed to strengthen UMT’s internal audit capabilities through the use of data analysis technology using ACL software. The initiative provided UMT’s internal auditors with the opportunity to understand and master the use of ACL as a technological tool to support more efficient, transparent, and data-driven audit practices.

Throughout the workshop, the facilitators from UPM shared their knowledge and experience on using ACL, covering a wide range of topics from basic functions to advanced features. Key areas included data import methods, filtering and audit data search techniques, as well as systematic generation of outputs and audit reports. Hands-on training using simulated data was also conducted to provide participants with a deeper and more practical understanding.
UPM greatly appreciates the invitation extended by UMT and warmly welcomes this collaboration as part of the effort to strengthen professional networks in internal auditing among public universities. UPM remains committed to contributing its expertise and experience in driving excellence in governance and audit practices anchored in technology and data.
It is hoped that the organization of this workshop will serve as a catalyst for more inter-university training initiatives, in line with ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency, integrity, and effectiveness of audit management and internal monitoring systems in higher education institutions.
