SERDANG, 20 July 2022 – The Internal Audit Division in collaboration with the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem Committee (EKSA) has implemented the Green Space program. This program aims to provide a green space in the Internal Audit to support one of the evaluation criteria found in the Green Sustainability Component.

The program begins with plants repotting by replacing them with more suitable pots and soil. Then followed by preparing a space for vegetables such as lettuce, water spinach, chives, curry leaves, Asian mint leaves, and turmeric leaves in the previously empty terrace area.

In continuation of the program, an introduction of microgreen vegetable was demonstrated by Mr. Sharul Azman. Microgreens are immature vegetables that are harvested by cutting the stems of seedlings with scissors, within 1 month of sowing. Water spinach was choosen for this microgreen project.

Apart from adding to the cheerfulness of the office area with green lawns, this program can also provide a medium for the participants to interact casually with each other, thus strengthening the existing friendship.

In conclusion, the Green Space program has successfully achieved its objective and the crowds involved have stated that this program was able to benefit employees and should be continued in the future. This Green Space program ends at 12.30 pm.
