DIRECTION OF NEW HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT

Universiti Putra Malaysia, 10 January 2025 - The Internal Audit Department of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) held the Internal Audit Division Meeting No. 1/2025 on Friday morning. This meeting was specially held to discuss the restructuring of the organization and the distribution of responsibilities, following the appointment of a new Head of Internal Audit. This meeting is also the first meeting for the year 2025, where it focuses on planning and strengthening the role of each section in the Internal Audit Department.

 

 

This meeting was chaired by the new Head of Internal Audit, Mr. Sharul Azman bin Ramli, aimed at introducing a more organized and systematic organizational structure to further enhance the effectiveness of audit operations at UPM. In the meeting, Mr. Sharul Azman emphasized the importance of this restructuring in an effort to coordinate more specific tasks for the audit staff in accordance with the given section.

Among the matters discussed is the redistribution of responsibilities among the internal audit staff, as well as the setting of main tasks and targets to increase efficiency and transparency in work, and every decision taken is based on the principle of high integrity. This meeting also gave space to all internal audit staff to voice their views and suggestions in further strengthening the quality of work in the Internal Audit Department, and any problems can be solved more efficiently.

This meeting also marks a positive start for the year 2025, with the hope that all the changes made can bring a better impact to the entire management at UPM's Internal Audit Department.
