PUTRAJAYA, 29 September – The Council of Heads of Internal Audit (MKAD) of Public Universities through the Competence Development Committee (JPK) organized the Environmental, Social, And Governance (ESG) & Sustainability Reporting Course 2025 on 25 and 26 September 2025 at the Pulse Grande Hotel, Putrajaya. This course was attended by 35 participants consisting of Internal Auditors from public universities.
With the theme of Audit Towards Organizational Sustainability, this course was presented by speaker Dr. Nurmazilah binti Dato’ Mahzan, a Certified ESG Analyst who is a member of the Integrated Reporting and Connectivity Council under the IFRS Foundation and a former Authority Member at the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA). He shared his expertise and experience, particularly in relation to compliance and public accountability in managing ESG risks – Environment, Social and Governance, as well as sustainability reporting, which is now an important component in ensuring institutional transparency and accountability to the government and society.

This course has successfully provided participants with an approach and understanding of ESG auditing, including the implementation of themed audits such as carbon footprint audits, energy management and waste management, and is expected to help universities achieve SDG objectives and a reputation as a sustainable institution.
