APPOINTMENT OF THE NEW HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT AT UPM

January 6, 2025, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) – En. Sharul Azman Ramli has been appointed as the new Head of Internal Audit at the Internal Audit Division, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), effective January 6, 2025. The appointment by YBhg. Dato' Prof Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah, Vice-Chancellor of UPM, is in accordance with the Guidelines on Management and Governance of Federal Statutory Bodies, General Circular No. 5 of 2024. En. Sharul Azman Ramli's appointment replaces Puan Zainora Abdul Talib, who has retired after making significant contributions to the Internal Audit Division of UPM. Puan Zainora is known as a dedicated leader who played a crucial role in ensuring integrity and transparency in the financial management and operations of the university.

 

In the appointment message, YBhg. Dato' Prof Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah expressed gratitude to Puan Zainora for all her services and guidance throughout her career. He also welcomed the appointment of En. Sharul Azman Ramli as the new Head of Internal Audit and hoped that he would continue the strong leadership legacy and further strengthen internal audit management and governance at UPM. En. Sharul Azman Ramli previously led the Governance and Compliance Audit Section, Internal Audit Division, and has extensive experience in auditing, financial management, and governance. His ability to enhance audit effectiveness and introduce best practices at UPM can improve operational management at the Responsibility Centers. His expertise in risk management and compliance monitoring is an added value expected to help UPM achieve higher levels of excellence and governance.

 

In a pre-discussion after his appointment, En. Sharul Azman expressed his commitment to strengthening the audit management system at UPM, focusing on transparency, accountability, and more transparent monitoring in every aspect of university operations and best governance practices in the Internal Audit Division.

 

Puan Zainora Abdul Talib also congratulated En. Sharul Azman and expressed her full support for his leadership during the handover session. The staff of the Internal Audit Division of UPM wishes En. Sharul Azman continued success in carrying out his new responsibilities and leading the Internal Audit Division of UPM towards higher excellence.
