SERDANG, 19 November 2025 – The Information and Communication Development Centre (iDEC), Universiti Putra Malaysia organised the AI Adaptation Course for Administration at the Faculty of Agriculture Hall as one of the flagship programmes in conjunction with UPM Digital Month 2025.
The one-day course brought together administrative officers from various Responsibility Centres (PTJ) to strengthen their skills and knowledge in adapting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies within the university’s administrative management and operations.
This initiative is aligned with the UPM Digital Transformation Framework, particularly the Digital First Strategic Shift, which emphasises the expansion of digital technology usage to enhance service efficiency and strengthen administrative governance across the university.
Key focus areas of the course included the application of AI in office management, documentation preparation, process automation, official communication, report development, data governance and performance monitoring. Participants were provided with technical briefings, demonstrations of current AI applications and hands-on training sessions to equip them with practical skills that can be applied directly in their daily responsibilities.
The Internal Audit Division also sent a representative to the programme, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the university’s digitalisation efforts and exploring the use of AI to enhance administrative efficiency, integrity and process monitoring.
The course is expected to contribute significantly to improving digital literacy among UPM administrative officers, thereby strengthening a more efficient, effective and data-driven work ecosystem across the university.
