UPM SERDANG (15 November 2021): The Operations and Services Section, Office of Occupational Safety and Health Management (PPKKP) has attended the Internal Audit Division to implement the Safety and Health Inspection (PKK) of the Responsibility Centre (PTJ). Inspections are carried out to meet the requirements safety at work in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 and Regulations, Fire Services Act 1988, Factories and Machinery Act 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974 and Regulations, Atomic Energy Licensing Act 1984 and Uniform Building By-Laws 1984.

The scope of occupational safety and health inspections in 2021 focuses on the monitoring of Covid-19 preventive measures in PTJs including the enforcement of Covid-19 Infection Risk Assessment reporting (https://ertcovid19.upm.edu.my) for employees who are physically present in the office, the use of QR Code MySejahtera and UPM Covid-19 Tracking, Covid-19 preventive control involving external parties (suppliers / contractors / visitors) and emergency action reporting methods of employees infected with Covid-19 and having close contact with Covid-19 patients.

Based on the inspection report issued by the Office of Occupational Safety and Health Management (PPKKP) on 16 November 2021, the Internal Audit Division has successfully complied with the entire Covid-19 preventive inspection criteria in accordance with established procedures.
