ATTITUDE of employees who are rude, untrustworthy, come late to work often become a work culture in some societies.

 

The negative attitude is difficult to get rid of because it has been ingrained in the person, but in fact faith in ALLAH can change the bad attitude.

 

Famous scholars, Dr. Yusuf Al-Qaradawi in his book "Al-iman wa Al-Hayat" or in its translated version "Faith and Life" focused a chapter to explain the role of faith in improving work performance.

 

"The believer works on the impulse from within. He does not just work, but works with a rounded will, a good and perfect way. For that, he poured all his energy and willingness, because he realized with a confident belief that ALLAH always watches over him in his pursuit of something," he said.

 

The attitude expressed by him is in line with the concept of ihsan in Islam which the Prophet SAW once said;

 

"Ihsan (doing something well) means you dedicate yourself to GOD as if you see Him. And if you can't seem to see Him, then you should remember that GOD sees you." — Hadith Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim

 

According to him, when believers work in a company, they do not work solely for the sake of work that brings results or simply to please their superiors with the intention of wanting a high salary and position.

"The believer will work honestly and diligently, because he remembers that God is always watching him and he feels the duty to protect his neighbor's property. Thus, I hope for a good response from God in the Hereafter."

 

The word of ALLAH which means: "And say: 'Work! Allah and His Messenger and the believers will see what you do; and you will be returned to (ALLAH) Who knows the unseen and the manifest, then He will explain to you what you have done." — At-Taubah, 9: 105

Faith is clearly proven to be able to change negative attitudes in employees.

 

The strengthening of faith in every Muslim individual can help improve the quality and productivity of workers, which in turn can catalyze the country's economy. — Majoriti
