Serdang 26 MAC 2019 (Tuesday) - A total of 13 representatives from the Internal Audit Department of Sultan Idris Education University had a business trip to the Internal Audit Department of Universiti Putra Malaysia. The purpose of this trip is to improve the Auditors’ professionalism as well as exchange opinions to improve the auditing performance.
The trip was led by Head of UPSI Internal Audit Department, Mrs. Noorulazian Mohd Razalli as a preparation and to learn UPM's experience with Quality Asurance Review for one day.
Quality Assurance Review is a requirement of Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) issued by the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) in relation to internal audit practices. The Internal Audit Department of UPM has completed the assessment conducted by the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM) in June 2017 and IIAM has confirmed that the Internal Audit Department of UPM complies with the standards.
During the trip, Mr Sharul Azman Ramli shared the preparatory experience that must be undertaken before the external evaluation is performed to ensure that the audit activity is in compliance with the standards.
UPM's Internal Audit Department would like to thank the UPSI Internal Audit Department for selecting UPM as a reference to improve the auditing management as well as exchange documents and experiences.
