In this digital age, almost all human life is related to relationships through the internet network which makes it grow very rapidly.
Developed countries continue to record the achievements and development of digital communication that is very progressive and sophisticated for the ease of its people in daily affairs, in addition to having a positive impact on economic development.
South Korea, for example, is among the countries with smart cities that apply digital technology in the daily affairs of citizens, especially in public transport, business, the needs of public social services and money transaction dealings.
Similar developments will also eventually arrive in their own country. Will we be able to face the challenges of being a developed digital nation? What challenges await us in this new year in the development of digital communications?
Among the challenges that need to be overcome in empowering the country's digital communications include the rising cost of living of the people.
As a result, the provision of 5G services will create a new technology landscape and offer a better and faster user experience. What needs to be seen is the desire for the development of digital communications to affect the cost of purchasing new devices and the high price of internet network bills.
This is coupled with the increasing cost of spending and the cost of goods. It once gus can affect the gap in the use of urban and rural communities to digital communication.
The growing cost of living issue especially in 2022 has made it difficult for the people to move to the use of digital media and the need for new and high-tech applications.
In addition, changes in politics and existing digital communication development policies can also be a big challenge. Politics in Malaysia has always had its own story and sometimes leads to the instability of the government. This is very detrimental to the people and the country because it greatly affects the existing plans that are already planned. It also affects the trust of external investors in the country's economy.
The country's plan towards a sustainable digital communications country may be stunted if its implementation annually is interrupted by changes in political will and leadership that are inconsistent with its objectives.
A policy cannot develop properly and smoothly in the event of leadership and political uncertainty. The need for a stable administration is needed so that the country continues to develop and prosper. In this regard, it leads us to think about whether this year of 2022 our leaders are ready to work hard and empower the development of digital communication for the sake of the people and the country.
